About Bill

I’ve spent decades inside the high-end audio world — not as a distant observer, but as an editor, marketer, and writer who knows how manufacturers think and how enthusiasts actually listen. My specialty is taking complex technical material and presenting it so people who aren’t engineers can still understand what’s going on.

I’ve managed large groups of writers — discussing topics and viewpoints, guiding works in progress, then copy-editing and refining finished pieces. I’ve also directed teams in high-pressure environments: Director of Marketing & Communications at PS Audio, plus VP roles in medical imaging and automotive racing tech. As a consultant I’ve worked with Bang & Olufsen and advised banks on investments in consumer electronics.

I was the founding editor of Copper at PS Audio — roughly 97 issues of long-form writing about music, gear, and the culture around both. I also served as Director of Marketing & Communications at PS Audio, where I learned what it takes to launch products and tell honest stories in a skeptical market.
